Do men need bigger food portions than women? I was staying at a hostel and noticed that the girls would eat one portion for dinner, while most of the guys would go for a second portion and generally eat more.
Is it a biological thing, or are many girls just hesitant to go for a second portion due to societal pressure or how others might view them?

Yes i would say so.. On average men have bigger body types so therefor it would be natural for them to eat more.. There are some exceptions though..
