Can parents love you too much that it begins to get toxic?

It’s not really love at that point. It’s more about fear being projected in different ways, which can shelter and even suffocate a child’s growth. That’s what toxic looks like.

It’s not that it’s toxic, but it can be a bit overbearing sometimes.
Since I was four, it’s just been my father and me. Now that I’m 27, he’s still very protective. Sometimes, he still treats me like I’m 10 years old.

For some parents and children, love is an established fact , we don't need to hear or say the words daily to believe it but know it through our actions.

However, over- protectiveness to the point of stifling ,being too authoritative and being overly demanding are behavioral problems that should never be considered part of loving.

Youngest memories
My earliest memory was when I was three. We were playing on the porch, and I fell off into some cacti with long pricks. My mom and grandmother had to pull them out of my face and hands.

My earliest memory is of a crow flying through our kitchen window and stealing a silver spoon. Later, I found out that this crow was known for being a thief. He was one smart bird. He lived near the lake, where there were silver chewing gum wrappers everywhere. And some spoons. I think he did it to impress the female crows.

Well my grandpa on my dad's side died when I was just 2 and a half but I remember him taking me and sis on rides in his big old panel work truck. That or walking outside with him and holding onto his big stubby finger.

Thanks for the prayers! The power in our neighborhood just came back on at 9:30 p.m. We had power all day thanks to our generator, and our neighbors were planning to use our freezer if the power didn’t come back. The Internet was down until just a few minutes ago.
